Schedule a Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (March and April).

These assessments determine developmental readiness and are conducted in groups of 5–6 children. Kindergarten and home-schooled applicants who did not attend school previously must submit copies of a birth certificate and immunization record to the office before the application process is complete.

Students must take an assessments test Reading and/or Math to determine readiness for a grade level.

Grade placement for incoming students will be determined by assessment examinations, current report cards, and possibly teacher recommendations. MCDS reserves the right to determine grade placement after reviewing all pertinent information.
