Approximately 60% of MCDS’ families received financial aid for the 2023-24 school year, awarding over $460,000. Every family that qualified and applied by the initial deadline received some aid. Aid is available for all qualifying families regardless of income! Apply between February 15 and April 30, 2024 via your online tuition payment portal to be guaranteed consideration for financial aid awards.
Financial aid funds are available to those families who meet MCDS or state requirements. The vast majority of our scholarship awards are made from the funds the school receives through Pennsylvania’s EITC/PRE-K/OSTC
program. (Thank you to those who participate in these programs…without you, this scholarship fund would not exist!)
MCDS does have limited funds available to families who exceed the income limits of PA’s EITC/PRE-K/OSTC program. If you are in need of financial assistance to make Christian education affordable for your family, please apply!
MCDS requires that a patron family pay at least 25% of their total tuition. Families who qualify for OSTC (you will be notified if you qualify) or other special funding may be granted an exception to this requirement.
Extenuating circumstances are always considered when making awards. Expected but uncontrollable income changes for the upcoming school year as well as financial hardships are considered. Every effort is made to allocate our scholarship funds on a fair and equitable basis according to the financial needs of each patron
family. Our third-party financial aid application processor uses complex formulas from the financial information applicants provided to help accomplish this.
If you are interested in applying for financial aid, please submit an enrollment application for the 2024-2025 school year. Enrollment for new families to MCDS opens on February 1, 2024. (Please note that you must have completed the entire application process and received notification of acceptance to be considered for aid.) Applications for financial aid will be submitted via Simple Tuition Solutions which you will gain access to after acceptance. A 2023 tax return is required to apply. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2024. If applying after this date, patrons should inquire with the office if funds are available before submitting an application.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding tuition, fees, or financial aid, please call Sandy Zimmerman, Director of Finance, at 717.665.4300.
All enrollment is done online using Gradelink, our online school record/grade database.
