Is financial aid available and would I qualify? Scholarship funds are available to those families who meet both state and MCDS requirements. Pennsylvania requires that a family meet certain income criteria to be eligible for financial aid. The Household Income Allowance for 2020 is as follows:
Single Parent with 1 child
Married Couple with 1 child
Married Couple with 2 children
Married Couple with 3 children
(Add $17,017 for each additional child or dependent.)
MCDS requires that a patron family pay at least 50% of their total tuition. Families who qualify for OSTC or other special funding may be granted an exception to the MCDS requirement. In addition to the above state and school requirements, MCDS also evaluates other factors. Expected income for the upcoming school year as well as financial hardships are considered. Every effort is made to allocate our limited scholarship funds on a fair and equitable basis according to the financial needs of each patron family.
