DOCTRINE
- In God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 4:35; 4:39; 1 John 5:20; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18)
- God speaks to us and instructs us through His inspired Holy Scripture. (2 Timothy 3:16; Galatians 1:11-12)
- God created all things. (Isaiah 45:11-12; Ps. 33)
- Humans are created in God’s image and He desires to be in relationship with us. (Genesis 1:26-27; Ephesians 5:21-23)
- All humans are born with a sin nature. (Romans 5:12; Romans 5:19)
- God has provided salvation to all who believe in His Son Jesus. (John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Ephesians 2:8-10)
- The church is one body with many members. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 2:19-22; Colossians 1:18)
- We are called to be disciples of Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out the mission of the church in the world by serving others. (Ephesians 2:11-18; Matthew 5:39)
- The practice of accountability between believers gives integrity to our witness. (Ephesians 4:15-16)
- Our hope is in the reign of God as we await His final victory and our reign with Him for eternity. (Zechariah 14:9; Revelation 21:1-4)
- We believe that God intends marriage to be a covenant between one man and one woman for life. (Mark 10:9; 1 Corinthians 7:10-11)
- According to Scripture, right sexual union takes place only within the marriage relationship. (Exodus 20:14; 1 Cor. 6:12-20)

This statement of doctrine does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Manheim Christian School’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our MCS Board is Manheim Christian School’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.

CORE BELIEFS
- Believers are a community of faith in Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:11-16)

- Believers live in the world but are separate from the world. (1 John 2:15-17)
- Believers value biblical virtues such as worthiness, humility, gentleness, non-violence, unity and equality. (Ephesians 4:1-6; Romans 12:14-21)
- Believers pursue a life-long personal commitment to follow Christ and to share the good news of the Gospel. (John 15:5-6; 1 Peter 3:15-16)

- All curriculum is integrated with biblical principles and perspectives.
- A multi-faceted curriculum includes all areas of academic, life skills, art, music, athletics, and extracurricular opportunities meeting a variety of interests and talents.
- Individual learning styles and abilities are recognized and accommodated while students are challenged to meet their potential.
- Students are equipped for life beyond Manheim Christian School with biblical worldview, academic preparation, practical life skills and work ethic.

- Character is built by nurturing integrity, respect, self-discipline and accountability. (James 3:17-18)
- Students' spiritual gifts are nurtured through prayer and encouragement. (Acts 2:38; Romans 12:6-8)
- Conflict resolution skills and peace-making attitudes are taught. (Luke 6:27-31, 35-36; Hebrews 12:14-15; 1 Peter 3:8-11)
